Spencer County Public Schools have made a couple of changes to our reopening plan that may impact decisions on whether to send your child to school. Therefore, we are giving parents and guardians the opportunity to change their original enrollment option if they so choose.
- Students will be allowed to participate in extracurricular activities if they are in the the virtual option. This was not entirely clear during the first enrollment period.
- Also, the board has elected to begin the traditional model under a hybrid plan. This means that half of the students will attend school on Monday and Tuesday with the other half participating on Thursday and Friday. Students will work from home on the three days they are not at school. This will allow us to maintain social distancing requirements as well as provide opportunities for additional deep cleaning at all schools.
If either of these factors impacts your decision please complete the enrollment change form below by Monday, August 3rd. YOU ONLY COMPLETE THE FORM IF YOU ARE CHANGING YOUR CHILD'S ORIGINAL ENROLLMENT STATUS OR YOU FAILED TO COMPLETE IT DURING THE FIRST ENROLLMENT PERIOD.
