My name is Amanda Wyraz and I am the Reading Intervention teacher at SCES. I do Reading Recovery which is a one on one intervetion program with first grade for part of the day. The other part of the day I do CIM. This is a small group intervetion that uses many of the same strategies at Reading Recovery. Both are very intense but very effective for helping struggling readers. This will be my 2nd year at SCES but this is my 5th year of teaching. I was a special education teacher for 3 years prior to becoming a Reading Intervetion teacher. After graduating from Eastern High School in Louisville, I went to Bellarmine University where I majored in Elementary and Specail Educaiton. In May 2014 I graduated from Indiana University Southeast with my Master in Elementarty with a concentration in Reading. I really enjoyed my first year at SCES and I really look forward to many more years here!
